Here’s what you need to get shots as good as steve’s

Keep dry

Pack your camera bag wisely to avoid getting caught out in bad weather. Absorbent microfibre towels will extend your shooting time when in the wet, while lens hoods will help prevent the front element from becoming wet in the first place.

Zoom lens

If you’re shooting from one position, or somewhere like a cruise liner and have no control over your placement by the landscape, pack a zoom lens. It will allow you to zoom in and go wide, to recompose your scene without the need to move.

High ISO

Depending on the lighting conditions, you might want to shift your ISO up above 800 to attain a faster shutter speed. That way, even if you’re on a bobbing boat or a swaying ship, you’ll still be able to capture those very important sharp shots.

Work the angles

Take detail shots of your scene, especially if you’re shooting waterfalls. Large, dominant waterfalls lend themselves well to tight, vertical crops whereas the wide shots can remain horizontal to fit in more of the beautiful landscape that surrounds them.
