Star pupil
I am writing in regard to the Lanzarote star trail photo in the
N-Photo 83, page 66. As an amateur astrophotographer, exposure data always interests me. But something about 2000 shots of 30 secs doesn’t seem right. This equates to nearly 17 hours. Yet, the image shows a star trail of approx. 45 degrees, about 1/8 of a day or three hours. Either 2000 shots or 30 sec – or both – are incorrect. I know this nitpicking, but correct me if I’m wrong! Well spotted Steve – the exposure time was, in fact, 2000 shots of 10 secs each, for a sequence of around five-and-a-half hours…
