The team at Rocket Speed Equipment in Hamilton is almost finished with a cool Model A roadster. One of the roadster’s best features is its 284ci flathead V8, topped with an original SCOT blower sourced from Hawaii. The flathead includes 1.6-inch intake valves and 1.5-inch exhaust valves with adjustable Johnson lifters and Mallory ignition. It is backed by a modified column-shifted ’39 LaSalle side-shift gearbox and ’38 diff with Halibrand quick-change centre. Sitting on a boxed, original Model A chassis, this should make for a seriously fun weekend cruiser.
