NZV8 GOES GLOBAL

-

Good morning, guys, First off, let me apologize for taking so long to contact you. My wife Debbie and I want to give you and all of the NZV8 staff who were at Repco Beach Hop 17 a most deserved thank you! Being from the US, this was our first Beach Hop. We drove up from Balclutha in the South Island with our friends Tom and Christine Taylor in their 1966 Thunderbird. What a great trip! We were invited to sit with the Mavericks car club for the Nostalgia Quiz at the Whangamata Club. The NZV8 staff were seated close to us. I believe it was Adam — not sure about the name — came over and took a picture of the group, and he found out we were from the US. The next thing I know, he returns with a copy of the March 2017 issue of the magazine. That was a pretty nice gift! However, upon further perusal of the magazine, I found that all of the NZV8 guys had signed it. How special is that? Now that we have returned to Texas from our trip, we have a lot of really great memories. We met new people and had a great time with everyone. The Beach Hop was spectacular! We picked up quite a few souvenirs while we were in New Zealand. I believe, however, that one of the best is my autographed copy of NZV8, which now has a special place in my shed for all to see! Best regards and thank you again! Leonard Wheeler Hi Leonard, Thanks so much for getting in touch with us! I’m glad you and your wife made it home with great memories of your time over here — hopefully it won’t be the last time you come over. We’re working on our 2017 issue of the NZV8 Beach Hop Annual, which is a 112-page magazine dedicated entirely to Repco Beach Hop 17, and that photo of you is actually making a cameo appearance in it. I hope to see you at another Beach Hop in the future. Regards, Connal
