Ask kids to draw a hot rod, and chances are they’ll draw something along the lines of an Ed Roth creation. American Lillard Hill took that a step further, though; he didn’t just draw his vision, he created it — with the result bearing more than just a passing resemblance to the Roth cars. In fact, it’s even called ‘Fink Rod’. The build began back in 1999, with Lillard doing the bulk of the work himself. What’s cool about the car is that, despite the wild proportions and blown Hemi up front, Lillard drives the wheels off it. He told Street Muscle magazine that he’s driven it down the mountain through snow to get to the drag strip, before racing it and then driving back through the snow to get home — now that’s dedication.
