We’re aware of the Mopar overload in this news section, but the latest Hellcat update is well worth a mention. For any local Moparphiles in the market for some imported muscle but who don’t fancy their chances of nabbing a Demon, the latest Challenger Hellcat Widebody could be the next best thing. Featuring the Demon’s fender flares and chin spoiler, the Hellcat Widebody looks the business, and although it ‘only’ packs the regular 707hp Hellcat motor, it’s still automotive overkill at its finest. The extra body girth allows massive 11-inch wheels all round, and, with sticky 305-profile Pirelli P Zero tyres, it doesn’t just handle better than the standard Hellcat, it’ll smoke it in a straight line, too. How quick are we talking, exactly? How does a 3.4-second 0–60mph sprint sound, to go with a 10.9-second quarter-mile ET? This machine’ll cost more than a standard Challenger Hellcat, of course, but, by the looks of it, it’d be money well spent for anyone seriously considering scooping their piece of late-model American muscle.
