We’re aware of the Mopar over­load in this news sec­tion, but the lat­est Hellcat up­date is well worth a men­tion. For any lo­cal Moparphiles in the mar­ket for some im­ported mus­cle but who don’t fancy their chances of nab­bing a De­mon, the lat­est Chal­lenger Hellcat Widebody could be the next best thing. Fea­tur­ing the De­mon’s fender flares and chin spoiler, the Hellcat Widebody looks the busi­ness, and al­though it ‘only’ packs the reg­u­lar 707hp Hellcat mo­tor, it’s still au­to­mo­tive overkill at its finest. The ex­tra body girth al­lows mas­sive 11-inch wheels all round, and, with sticky 305-pro­file Pirelli P Zero tyres, it doesn’t just han­dle bet­ter than the stan­dard Hellcat, it’ll smoke it in a straight line, too. How quick are we talk­ing, ex­actly? How does a 3.4-sec­ond 0–60mph sprint sound, to go with a 10.9-sec­ond quar­ter-mile ET? This ma­chine’ll cost more than a stan­dard Chal­lenger Hellcat, of course, but, by the looks of it, it’d be money well spent for any­one se­ri­ously con­sid­er­ing scoop­ing their piece of late-model Amer­i­can mus­cle.
