1967 Chev Chevelle
Tubbed cars are nothing new on New Zealand roads, but, until Mark Picard showed up with his Chevelle, they’d never looked like this. Gone were the traditional 15x15-inch rollers and massive rear rubber, and in their place were ground-breakingly expensive 20x15s wrapped in just as expensive rubber. It was a look never before seen locally, and, despite the car being on the scene for only a very short time before Mark got busy with life, many will remember the day they first laid eyes on it.
