Wayne Smith — 1930 Ford Model A

-

With so many great cars out and about on Friday, it was hard to pick a standout, but Wayne Smith and his cool-looking 1930 Model A Ford were finally selected. It’s not just one thing on the little truck that catches the eye but, rather, a combination of things — from the colour and chrome work through to the woodwork on the back tray and the all-important stance. Wayne has owned the truck for near on 12 months and takes it out as much as possible. Power is supplied by a 350ci Chev ZZ4 crate engine, through a GM TH700R4 four-speed transmission and trusty Ford nine-inch rear. Wilwood disc brakes have been fitted all round, sitting behind the 15x8.5-inch and 15x10-inch Cragars, which are wrapped in rugged BF Goodrich rubber. Wayne gets to sit his bum in a full leather interior behind a Flaming River steering wheel and tilt-adjustable column, and to enjoy luxuries such as power windows, power steering, and air conditioning.
