DATES FOR HISTORIC SERIES

Dates for the 2017–’18 Historic Muscle Cars and Historic Saloon Cars series have been released. These cars — among the coolest vehicles in the New Zealand motorsport scene — will begin the season on October 14 by racing at the Thoroughbred and Classic Car Owners Club (TACCOC) Classic at Hampton Downs Motorsport Park. Travelling downstream, the second round will hit Manfeild Circuit Chris Amon over November 10–12 for the Wellington MG Classic, which will also be the last event for 2017. The new year calendar will begin over January 20–21, moving north to Bruce McLaren Motorsport Park for the Taupo Historic GP, before wrapping up at the Historic Racing Club (HRC) Legends event at Hampton Downs Motorsport Park over March 17–18 — dates that the committee stresses will not clash with Repco Beach Hop 17.
