Matt Elliott ‘CLUTCH’ 1979 Chev C10
Smoothed, shaved, and de-loomed engine bays are nothing new, but, when Matt Elliott debuted his ‘CLUTCH’ C10, it took things to a whole new level. In fact, seven years on, we’ve yet to see a smoother engine bay in New Zealand. Work extends beyond the smooth panels and glossy paintwork, through to the infinite detailing of the engine itself — extending to recessed Allen-head bolts throughout — and wiring hidden from sight. While engine bays like this are almost commonplace compared with back then, Matt’s still looks cutting edge — the recent addition of a ProCharger, fitted just as perfectly, is the icing on the cake.
