1927 FORD MODEL A RPU

It’s hard to find something that’s more hot rod than a Model A roadster pickup (RPU), especially when the RPU in question is packing a Hemi between the rails. Jim built this one 13 years ago and, although he says that he can hardly fit in the thing, definitely enjoys driving it. “It’s a 241 Hemi, but it picks a wheel up! It’s got a flathead box in it, Customline diff … I’ve never touched the gearbox, never touched the diff,” he says. He must have done something right when he built it, because Gene Winfield wanted to sign the dashboard at the Kumeu show in 2007!
