SUPER COLORADO

-

As you’ll see later on in this issue, the annual Meguiar’s MotorEx is one hell of an event, as Australia’s premier event for the latest and greatest in the automotive sphere. Among all the drool-worthy machinery on offer this year, something on the Harrop stand really stood out more than most — a Holden Colorado, offering decidedly un-Colorado performance. Joined by Australian Football League (AFL) star Barry Hall, the Harrop team fired up the ‘Superado’ in public for the first time — a Holden Colorado powered by a supercharged LS3. It will be available to the public with an LS3 or LSA engine, Harrop TVS2650 supercharger option, and 6L80E six-speed auto, “designed to dominate all dual cabs”, as Harrop put it. The idea of a factory-spec, LS-powered Colorado was one originally brought to fruition by Killa Kustom Kables and Conversions in Queensland, and Harrop becoming an agent has further fine-tuned the OEMlevel refinement. Harrop’s touch includes an uprated suspension package, along with brakes, and the wheel and tyre package — all dependent on whether the vehicle is specced primarily for on- or off-road use. More information can be found at superado.com.au, which may prove to be the perfect destination for those eager for a double-cab ute with more than its fair share of grunt.
