’80S THROWBACK

Stonewash jeans, mullets and Toranas with painted everything are icons of the 1980s, and now Mike Berg’s on a mission to recreate that period — of car at least. His tough LH is now well into construction and it’s complete with all the hallmarks of an in-your-face ’80s street machine. Under — and out of — the hood is a tunnel-rammed big-block Chev. Behind it, and painted of course, is a TH400 trans with a high stall and a 9-inch with Detroit Locker. He’s fitted decent brakes all-round and gone to town on the interior too, so there’s no chance of the car blending into the crowd. Mike sums it up as saying “It’s in your face if you like it or not.”
