Grafton Vintage Speedway Festival

-

Grafton’s Vintage Speedway Festival promoter Dave Lander will offer participants who enter for the Saturday, June 11 track activities use of the venue on Sunday morning for demonstration runs with free admission included. “The condition for those wanting to come out for a Sunday morning run until around noon is they must have been involved with the Saturday demonstrations to be eligible for a run on Sunday. “I won’t just accept someone who turns up for Sunday only, but those who were involved with the Festival’s Saturday events will most definitely get the chance to have a run on the Sunday morning with no cost involved,” Lander said. Public gates will open at 10am and there will be a static display of cars and bikes all day, while demonstration runs will be held on Saturday afternoon between 1 and 5PM. The highlight of the day will commence at 6:30PM on the main arena when the hands of time will turn back to how a speedway meeting ran over 50-60 years ago with Solos and Sidecars first then Speedcars, followed by Super Modifieds, Hot Rods, TQs, Formula 500s, Micro Midgets, Sedans, Sprintcars – even bash and crash Stockcars. The night’s track presentation will conclude at 10PM to complete a 12 hour fixture. The price of entry for those who just want to display their bike or car is $20 and that includes a place in the static display of machinery throughout the day. To participate in the full day/night of track activity it will cost $60.00. General admission is $20 (per person) and kids under 12 are free. General public gates open at 10am on Saturday. Sunday is free to the public. For more information phone Dave Lander: 0408-222-908.
