Mt Tarrengower climb
HMRAV Historic Hill Climb 15-16 October 2016 – Mt Tarrengower, Victoria
The annual blast up Mt Tarrengower, near Malden in Central Victoria, attracted 33 entries, but once again it was perennial winner Mike Panayi who recorded fastest time on his 1961 Norton Atlas. Mike’s second practice run of 43.3 seconds was actually the quickest of the weekend, but he was only fractionally slower in his official climb, at 43.7 to finish comfortably ahead of Stacey Heaney on 45.3 and Wayne Donehue on 49.0 – these being the only three to break the 50 second barrier.
BELOW Once again top man; Mike Panayi on his Norton Atlas. RIGHT Graham McDonald on his 1932 500cc Rudge. Brian and Leanne March on their 750 Norton. Mt Tarrengower stalwart Dave Gittus on his 1939 AJS 500. Third fastest; Wayne Donehue on his Norton Commando. Robert Liddicoat on his 1956 Gold Star BSA.
