Devonport > Cradle Mountain
Start your road trip with breakfast in Devonport at the rustic-chic Laneway Café. Make the 80km drive from Devonport to Cradle Mountain via the B14, to Sheffield, known as the ‘Town of Murals’. If the kids are in the back seat, detour into The Promised Land (an actual post code area if you can believe it) to Tasmazia, home to one of the world’s largest maze complexes and the (model) Village of Lower Crackpot. Then continue south-west, rolling across alpine plains to Cradle Mountain. For a slice of luxury in the wilderness, stay at the Cradle Mountain Lodge or the popular Discovery Park’s cabins and powered sites for caravans.
