On the Road Tasmania

Day 5

Stanley > Arthur River

-

Spend the day skirting the fringes of the mighty Tarkine, Australia’s largest temperate rainforest. Immerse yourself in forest exploration at Tarkine Forest Adventures – kids and the young-at-heart will love the 110m-long slide into the forest. Be sure to check opening times and days as this activity is weather-dependent. The nearby South Arthur Forest Drive will extend your love for this greener-thangreen wonderland. Drive out to Marrawah and watch as the thundering sea rolls furiously ashore. Then visit the Aboriginal carvings at Mt Cameron West and Sundown Point. Head south to Arthur River and detour to Gardiner Point, dubbed the ‘Edge of the World – it’s as wild as it sounds. To the west there’s nothing between you and South America.
