What are the characteri­stics of this area that make it perfect for your baking?

The access to first-class ingredient­s such as the certified organic spelt and quinoa we use in our brownies, locally produced butter, Tasmanian free-range eggs, nuts and fruits.

Are there any particular products (or farms) in this area that visitors shouldn’t miss?

The North West boasts numerous farm-to-fork experience­s. A must-do is a cheese-making class at Red Cow Dairies. One day when I am not locked into the bakery or working a weekend I’ll be booking in myself. There is also Hazelbrae Hazelnuts located in Hagley, [a] rare-breed pig paddock-toplate [experience] at Mount Gnomon Farm or hunting for truffles at Cradle Country Cottages.
