Day 4
Exploring Strahan
Spend a full day in Strahan cruising across Macquarie Harbour and along the Gordon River. Highlights include the convict station on Sarah Island and the lighthouse at the narrow entrance to the harbour known as Hells Gates. Cruises return around 3:00pm, giving you time to drive to the vast Henty Dunes for a blast with a sandboard. Another option is Strahan’s Wilderness Woodworks where craftsmen make Huon pine furniture. Be sure to take a piece home.
