WINNER: Thermaltake Level 10M Advanced

The

thing about most mice is that you really don’t know if you’re going to like them until you try them, which is next to impossible for most of us. This is where the Level 10M Advanced adjustable height will come in handy, as you can lower or raise the rear to best fit the style of grip you use.

The design is definitely controversial; you’ll either love or hate its rather strange aesthetic. Yet it’s very comfortable to use over time, and the honeycomb finish allows for your palms to remain sweat-free. One of my favourite features is the five-axis thumb stick, which can be programmed with any macro you can think of. It’s perfect for changing weapons or spells, or whatever else you think you might need. There’s also plenty of other buttons within easy reach, and the Omron left/right buttons feel just right. The 16000 DPI AVAGO 9500 laser sensor is incredibly accurate without having the acceleration issues we’ve seen on other laser mice, though it’s unlikely you’ll ever use it at 16000 DPI; thankfully you can change this easily enough on the fly via the DPI buttons.

Being a Thermaltake product, it’s also obviously got more RGB lights than a Christmas tree, and controlling both these and the macros is a cinch via the intuitive software included. At less than $90, it also happens to be damn good value. What’s not to like?
