Assembly has announced the 2017 release of the second game in what they also announced would be the Total War: Warhammer trilogy. The new game will take place in the Western regions of the Old World and will feature a campaign that introduces four new races, the High Elves, Dark Elves, Lizardmen (the only race native to the lands) and a mystery fourth. Although speculation as to the identity of the fourth playable race (before DLC adds more) is worth less than the paper it’s written on, our picks for likely races are the Beastmen or one of the Border Lords. The Beastmen make a good introduction to a chaos aligned but mostly independent army, and the Border Lords leave avenues for more naval combat in the future. We’ll let you know how right or wrong we are when Creative Assembly releases more information.
