A surprise announcement during the reveal event was that Destiny 2 on PC will be released on Blizzard’s distribution platform, Battle.net. Don’t be confused by the name though - Blizzard are sticking with their 2016 rebranding of Battle. net to Blizzard Launcher, but they decided to use the old name at the Destiny 2 reveal. It’s probably because people have called it Battle.net for over 20 years, and as it turns out rebranding is kind of hard to do.
