1 FLOWING GPU CABLES
This was generally one of the few happy accidents we had with this build; having the cables here flowing like this, instead of stretched up through a passthrough or to the side, genuinely looks epic.
4 CABLE KIT
Corsair’s Pro cable kit is a nice solution to the basic black cables that come with the CXF RGB power supply. However, the cable combs leave a lot to be desired, and sadly still don’t hold a candle to CableMod sets. Still, they’re considerably cheaper and accent our build well.
2 CLEARANCE & AIOS
As you can see, there’s plenty of space to install a radiator along with a set of fans, and the mounting location is slightly offset too, so no problems there. However, it is slightly frustrating when it comes to that AIO pump cable running along the top.
5 ILLUMINATION
The QL fans look incredible. Combined with the Capellix LED in the AIO and the Vengeance memory, it looks impressive. The only things that are a bit of a letdown? The stock fans that come with the H150i, and the lighting in the mobo itself (that ROG logo is actually illuminated, though you can’t tell).
3 DOWNLOAD MORE RAM?
We had to have two sticks of memory sadly for the shoot—we’re still waiting on Asus to get back to us with a BIOS update to hopefully get the set of four working. But for the time being, 32GB at 3,200 MHz is the name of the game.
6 CABLE TIDY COVER
If side-mounted radiators and fans aren’t quite right for you and your next build, then the Corsair 5000D in its standard configuration actually features a classy cable-tidy bar here that hides the lot, and gives you plenty of room to install E-ATX motherboards as well.
