Corum-Tyro integration

-

AUSTRALIAN-LISTED healthcare software company Corum Healthcare has partnered with EFTPOS technology specialist company Tyro to provide community pharmacies with a flexible payment system that’s independent of the major banks.

Launching today, the new integration of POS and EFTPOS removes the need to rekey purchase totals into the EFTPOS terminal, meaning end of day totals for EFTPOS and point of sale always match up, which streamlines reconciliation, Corum said.

Pharmacies who use Corum LOTS POS software are expected to benefit significantly from this new integration of the two systems. Corum and Tyro’s integration “cuts out the need for thirdparty middleware and provides consistently fast, stable transaction processing, even during the year’s busiest periods,” the companies said in a joint statement. Tyro is the only Australian technology company with a banking licence and already delivers EFTPOS services to over 15,000 merchants.

“The award-winning Tyro app enables pharmacies to check their card turnover and daily settlements in real-time and on the go.

“Pharmacies will also be able to approve payroll and batch bill payments with a single-touch.”

Corum said its sales team would be happy to field enquiries about the new integration offering live chat for sales and technical enquiries through Corum’s website.
