Mi­da­zo­lam US re­call

FRESENIUS Kabi USA has is­sued a vol­un­tary re­call of Mi­da­zo­lam In­jec­tion, USP, 2 mg/2 mL in pre­filled sin­gle-use glass sy­ringes.

The blis­ter pack­ag­ing con­tains sy­ringes con­tain­ing and la­beled as on­dansetron in­jec­tion, 4 mg/2 mL, an anti-emetic branded Zofran.

The re­call an­nounce­ment said miss­ing a dose of mi­da­zo­lam could lead to in­ef­fec­tive se­da­tion and no re­duc­tion in anx­i­ety, ac­cord­ing to the Food and Drug Ad­min­is­tra­tion.

The com­pany said it had not re­ceived any re­ports of ad­verse events re­lated to the re­call.
