Expert evaluators sought

ADVANCING Prac ce is seeking the exper se of experience­d pharmacist­s or nonpharmac­ist health profession­als to evaluate pharmacist­s applying for the new “Advancing Prac ce” and “Advanced Prac ce” creden als for Australian pharmacist­s ( PD 17 Nov 2017).

Advancing Prac ce Advisory Board chair Associate Professor Ian Coombes says evaluators will undertake independen­t assessment of por olios against the Advanced Prac ce enabling competenci­es within the Na onal Competency Standards Framework for Pharmacist­s in Australia 2016.

“Evaluators may be a pharmacist, or a non-pharmacist health profession­al, provided they have common skills in evalua on and assessment, experience in using assessment rubrics and proficienc­y with providing wriVen feedback,” Coombes explained.

Evaluators will be selected by the organisa on aKer comple ng the online applica on process, in which they must demonstrat­e and reference examples of their skills and experience, and assess a test por olio.

Selected evaluators must be available to aVend an Advancing Prac ce Evaluator Training session on Mon 14 May in Brisbane, and be available within the following evalua on rounds:
