Cooph has a reputation for producing stylish yet functional clothing for photographers. The Field Jacket is practical while also looking respectable when you’re not on a shoot. Its lightweight cotton fabric is related to that worn by WWII pilots and is cut to allow easy movement, yet it feels rugged and repels water well.

Pockets aren’t quite as plentiful as on some rival designs, but the essentials are here. Four front pockets are perfect for quick lens access, and the lower two contain an extra pair of pouches to stash smaller items. Three more pockets can be found inside, but unfortunately there aren’t any side pouches for maps. You don’t get a hood either, which is a pity at this price.
