Superzooms are popular because they cover such a wide focal range. It’s tricky to get the right balance between optical quality, autofocus performance, handling and value for money, though. I won’t spoil it by naming the winner, but I did use Canon’s 18-135mm STM while testing the EOS 77D, and was impressed; it’s fast, quiet, compact, and makes a versatile kit lens.
