DSLR is best for night photography as the larger sensor and pixel size gives better image quality and less noise than crop-factor Canons,” says Alyn. “They also capture a larger angle of view at equivalent focal lengths, which means my 14mm lens is 14mm - if I was using a 7D Mark II, with its 1.6x crop factor, that 14mm would be reduced to 22mm, which isn’t all that wide.”
