Wide-angle lens

A lens with a focal length shorter than the ‘normal’ lens (that is, the lens that gives the most true-to-life field of view) for a given format. In the full-frame format, focal lengths 35mm and below are considered wide-angle, while lenses from 21mm to 8mm are generally described as ultra wide-angle.
