remote control
To enable TTL and HSS flash modes in the B1X, you’ll need to invest in the Profoto Air Remote TTL-C (Canondedicated) controller. It works seamlessly with the flash head’s built-in wireless receiver, using a 2.4GHZ RF (Radio Frequency) link with eight sync channels to choose from. Compared with similar remote controllers for competing flash kits from the likes of Elinchrom, Interfit and Phottix, this one’s relatively expensive at £320/$420. On the plus side, it’s feature-rich, enabling triggering and wide-ranging adjustments to one or more B1X flash heads, in up to three separate groups, with a powerful range of up to 300m.
