Product photography hints? Selecting an AF back button? Brian shows how

Brian Says… Back button AF is possible with just about every EOS DSLR camera, and as you have found the EOS 200D is no exception. Due to its small sized body there is not space to locate the Ae-lock (*) button to the left of the AF selection button. Canon have recognized this and there is an option that switches the operation of the AE selection and Ae-lock buttons. You might not have found it as the setting is not in the custom functions, but in the third set up menu. You need to combine C.FN 8 and the switch of AE lock and AF selection buttons.

If you make this switch, then all the functions of both buttons are switched (reversed). The Ae-lock button becomes the playback zoom-in button, and the AF selection button zooms out when playing back images.
