You can get a priority turnaround for a repair if you have CPS (Canon Professional Services) membership. Although designed for professionals, if you have a specified range of gear you can qualify for free CPS Photo membership. Currently there are three tiers across Europe: silver, gold and platinum. For the silver level, you need two silver qualifying bodies (anything from the 60D upwards, essentially), and three silver qualifying lenses – you can find a list of these on the CPS website: https://cps.canon-europe.com
