Nature Photographer
Chris Packham, 56, is a British naturalist, nature photographer, television presenter and author. He has high-functioning autism, including a seemingly photographic memory. He might have a little difficulty building relationships with humans, but that’s humanity’s loss and mother nature’s gain as Chris has a profoundly close relationship with nature and each of his pets.
He is an expert in his field, and incredibly knowledgeable about ecology, environmental and ethical issues, and a passionate campaigner on conservation.
He likes his own space and lives on his own in a house in the woods, only with his pet dog – his partner of ten years, Charlotte Corney, is owner of the Isle of Wight Zoo, and also lives on the island.
He started off presenting in 1985 in the The Really, Really Wild Show, and regularly presents on the Springwatch, Autumnwatch, Winterwatch seasonal shows. In 2017 the BBC showed his widely applauded, Chris Packham: Asperger’s and Me, documentary, and in February this year, his In Search For The Lost Girl BBC detective documentary.
