We’ve created simple vertical strips here, but you can slice up your sequence in any way you choose. Perhaps diagonal strips might work for you, or horizontal lines. Alternatively, instead of hard-edged divisions between the layers, you could instead make a softer transition. This is easily done by feathering the layer mask (highlight the thumbnail and go to the Properties panel to adjust the feather), or you could simply paint a new layer mask with a soft-edged brush tip to create a gentle transition between the frames.
