What is the memory function on the Speedlite 430EX III-RT, and when might you use it?

BRIAN SAYS… This function is only available when the Speedlite is configured as a master or slave unit. To access it, configure the Speedlite as a master or slave, press the SUB MENU button and turn the control ring to reach the memory setting, to save the current settings or load a saved setting – great for working with off-camera flash. So, when using off-camera flash, you can dial in a setup, and then use the memory function to store that for instant recall. For example, if you normally use group mode, with an A group in E-TTL, B group in E-TTL with some flash comp and a manually set group C at ¼ power you can save this in the memory.
