I have been a Photoshop user for around 20 years, and there is a comfort in knowing there is a lot more I can do with the software, and a familiarity with the tools. At £10 per month, I don’t think it is aimed at amateurs like me. Your magazine introduced Luminar 3 as a free software trial
(Photoplus 63), and with time on my hands, I thought I would have a look. That led me to Luminar 4 and a Youtube video ‘AI tools explained’.
After only eight minutes I was hooked. I took the free trial of Luminar 4, but did not continue with it for the entire ‘free period’. I bought it after two days and I have since been re-visiting all my files year by year. This picture (above) was taken at the battlefield of Isandlwana in South Africa on a dull overcast day in 2009. I have spent so much time on this picture, but without much improvement! Then with Luminar 4, just three clicks, and AI Enhance added the dramatic sky and sunrays. The Artificial Intelligence tool AI Enhance has got to be the best single tool I have ever used. I have cancelled my monthly subscription to Adobe CC. I feel very inspired by Luminar and would recommend others to have a look.
