01 The Last Guardian Collector’s Edition

It may have taken Sony approximately 73 years to get Trico and his pint-sized chum out of the door, but you can help make those agonising final few weeks of waiting a smidge more bearable with this handsome collector’s edition. Exclusive to Game in the UK, your hundred quid gets you a premium steelbook case, a 72-page artbook, a sticker sheet, a digital soundtrack (including ten tracks) and a collector’s box. What’s that last one for, you ask? An awesome, must-own figurine of everyone’s favourite cat/eagle/monster thingie, that’s what. Said beautifully chiseled Trico will no doubt brighten up your mantel a treat, yet that artbook should also be well worth a looksy. After all, who does purdier concept drawings than Team IC… um, we mean genDESIGN?

02 WWE 2K17 NXT Edition

NXT! NXT! NXT! Ahem, apologies. Enthusiasm for WWE’s developmental brand is at an all time high around OPM Towers – and that’s not just because Shinsuke Nakamura is finally on Vinnie Mac’s paybook. The NXT edition of WWE 2K17 also has us gushing with suplexing glee, thanks to a killer package that includes an eight-inch Finn Bálor figure, a Canvas 2 Canvas lithograph signed by Nakamura, and an exclusive NXT TakeOver: London Mat Relics card. That last one is pretty nifty, as it includes a genuine piece of ring canvas taken from the Old Smoke grap-fest. Meanwhile, fans who buy the digital deluxe edition net the game’s season pass. Pre-order, and you also get two versions of WCW’s legendary, spear-loving manbeast, Bill Goldberg. 03 Titanfall 2 Vanguard Collector’s Edition

Forget that ring Frodo was so obsessed with destroying – clap your eyes on the One Pretend Videogame Helmet To Rule Them All. The Vanguard Collector’s Edition may cost almost as much as your PS4, but it doesn’t half go all-in thanks to an obscenely cool helmet and other badass accessories. The full 1:1 pilot headgear even comes with a battery-powered spotlight and laser sight – no peeping into the neighbours’ bog or blinding bus drivers, y’hear? You can also look forward to an 8GB dog tag flash drive, a pilot field journal (including aluminium case and pen) and ‘squad morale patches’. Bad news: if you haven’t pre-ordered already, it may be too late. The cheaper deluxe edition, which includes a season pass and Excalibur warpaints, is still available. 04 World Of Final Fantasy Collector’s Edition

Celebrate the cutest darn Final Fantasy ever by ordering this special edition, which comes with a set of unbearably sugary figurines and an eye-bulging pop-up book. Just watch out you don’t shish kebab your fingers when flipping through all those lovely 3D cutouts. As for the toys, whose shelf/desk wouldn’t be made 97% more cuddly with the addition of teensy versions of Cloud, Lightning and Squall – not one of which stands more than 50mm tall? The official soundtrack rounds off the £ 100 bundle and should serenade your ears with sweet, sweet FF melodies. Can’t bear to drop all those notes? The day one edition includes the same digital treats as the collector’s package, spanning a Sephiroth summon, white Chocobo, red Tonberry and Glow Moogle. 05 Dishonored 2 Collector’s Edition

Remember that killer masquerade ball from the first Dishonored? Well, pick up the sequel’s £ 80 collector’s edition and you too can have an outfit worthy of rubbing shoulders with socialites in… Well, at least the mask part of the getup. Yes, this ace bundle comes with a lifesize Corvo mask (no, it’s not the skinless Terminator, honest) complete with stand, plus an Emily Kaldwin ring replica to really give your digits murderous finger bling. Aside from a collectable metal case and propaganda poster, your investment also covers the Digital Imperial Assassin’s Pack: special DLC that grants exclusive Bonecharms such as Duellist’s Luck and Void Factor. Those who are short on cash aren’t totally out of luck, though. Pre-order the vanilla version on the PS Store and you get a PS4 copy of Dishonored: Definitive Edition for free. 06 Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare Digital Deluxe Edition

So. Much. COD. As we go to press, Activision has yet to reveal any RC cars, working night vision goggles or mini fridges with the premium versions of the globe-gobbling franchise. Still, the game’s digital deluxe and legacy pro editions should help to ease that pain thanks to the addition of Modern Warfare Remastered. And frankly, we’d much rather play All Ghillied Up again in velvety 1080p than find space for a Black Ops III-branded fridge. Whether you plump for the digital or physical version, both packages offer up the COD 4 redux (complete with ten multiplayer maps from the original) and Infinite Warfare’s season pass. Opt for the cheaper legacy edition and you still get Captain Price and Soap’s remastered shooter, but not IW’s season pass. 07 Mafia III

Artbooks! Replica dog tags! Collectable coasters! What more could any picture-loving, army-appreciating alcoholic ask for? A 56-page tome filled with insight and concept art should give you an in-depth run-down of the making of New Bordeaux, while those faux leather coasters and dog tags will keep dreaded coffee rings at bay, or maybe even make you look like a bit of a berk. Of course, the real star here is the game’s soundtrack, which not only includes classic tunes such as The Animals’ version of House Of The Rising Sun and Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Bad Moon Rising, but actually comes on bona fide vinyl. Our folks always did say they made CDs sound like a bag of screaming cats. Those who go for the slightly less fancy deluxe ed are treated to the game’s season pass. 08 FFXV Ultimate Collector’s Edition

Play Arts Kai makes gorgeous action figures. The Square Enix-affiliated toymaker ships premium videogame/movie/sci-fi figures that often go for anywhere between £ 50-£300. So it’s no wonder the ultimate version of FFXV is selling for a shade under two hundred notes, seeing as it contains a kickass, super detailed Noctis figurine. This ultra luxury version of the bromantic JRPG also ships with a 192-page artbook, the hour-long Kingsglaive CG film, steelbook, plus the game’s soundtrack. Additionally, all that cheddar nets you in-game items such as the Angler Set, Platinum Leviathan car and the Royal Raiment outfit. Pre-order the vanilla day one edition from Amazon instead and the Mage Masher pack awaits – the daggers FFIX’s Zidane loved so. 09 Watch Dogs 2: The Return Of DedSec Collector’s Case

Look at all that stuff! Here, wring out our embattled wallets. This high-end DedSec edition packs in an obscene amount of goodies. A 27cm Marcus figure set against a graffiti background is the headliner, while a DedSec hat and scarf combo are perfect for those cold days when you want to look your hacking best. You also get a map of San Francisco, 64-page artbook, DedSec stickers and three lithographies covering both the moody hacker and the Golden Gate City. The season pass and a deluxe DLC pack, which includes the Street Art and Punk themes for Marcus and his car, are thrown in too, but it stings that the Wrench JR Robot version (with working ‘bot) has sold out. 10 South Park: The Fractured But Whole Collector’s Edition

Anyone else currently feeling a shooting pain around their rear? You are? Well, you can easily set those booty booboos aside by picking up the collector’s edition of The Fractured But Whole. £ 90 nets you a copy of the game, six-inch Cartman figure (in infamous ‘Coon’ guise), three postcards and a bunch of costumes and perks to use in Ubi’s South Park sequel. Generously, pre-ordering any version of the game, all the way down to the default standard edition, gives you a DLC code for South Park: The Stick Of Truth – Obsidian’s RPG is available for the first time on PS4 to celebrate Fractured’s release. We’re so sinfully dampened with excitement over here we fear we may have to break out Towelie… and we all know where that little scamp has been. 11 Battlefield 1 Collector’s Edition

Is that a 14-inch Harlem Hellfighter in your pocket? Or are you just happy to see us? Yes, the collector’s edition of Battlefield 1 comes with a lanky toy just begging to be propped up in your room – do we ever love that swooshing cape. £ 180 is an awful lot to pay for a figure of course – it’s rather more than some of us are comfortable spending on a car – so it’s a good thing this deluxe package also includes a steelbook, a poster made out of cloth (mmmm, fabric), a deck of playing cards, an arm patch and codes for future DLC content – adorably delivered in the form of a faux messenger pigeon tube, no less. If that’s too rich for your tastes, pre-ordering the £ 65 Early Enlister edition lets you play DICE’s shooter from 18 October – a full three days before the official launch – while also boasting the Hellfighter, Red Baron and Lawrence of Arabia DLC packs. 12 Skylanders Imaginators Crash Edition Starter Pack

Well. Look who’s come to Crash the party. That’s right, the legendary marsupial is back with a bang in the latest Skylanders – his second high profile cameo of 2016 after that moment from earlier in the year. The Skylanders Imaginators Crash edition includes a figure of the iconic bandicoot to use alongside the provided Portal Of Power. Thank your lucky stars that wormhole opened up over the Wumpa Islands to make this crossover possible. The bundle also includes an Imaginite Creation Crystal – probably not as magical as it sounds – and a collector’s poster featuring every character from Imaginators’ heaving roster. Oh, and you also get a Mercedes-AMG GTS. Wooh! Oh alright, it’s only a 1:43 scale replica. Party pooper. If you’re not fussed about toy cars, there’s a pre-order bonus that covers all versions of the game. 14 Rise Of The Tomb Raider

See, it pays to wait after all. Xbox One owners may have been treated to Ms Croft’s frigidly ferocious adventure last Christmas, but less than a year on Lara is finally coming home with the definitive edition of Rise Of The Tomb Raider. PlayStation VR support, five classic skins based on old Raiders, the original game’s season pass content (with added co-op mode) and the new Blood Ties single-player story and zombies modes all welcome Crofty back to PS4 in style. Now, this 20 Year Celebration edition may lack fancy figurines, but that doesn’t mean both physical and digital editions don’t offer treats. Wildlands’ most decadent edition comes with a Bolivian carrying pouch… complete with three Bolivian postcards. Small sacks are great and all, but what you should be jazzed for is Calavera’s Santa Blanca Cartel Skull. C’mon, no PS4 owner can ever have too many replica craniums. Following on from this face-focused theme, Ubi is also throwing in a headset based on the models the Ghosts use in-game. A rather alluring collector’s box, the official soundtrack and the season pass (that also includes the Huntsman gear set, motorbike and rifle) round off the joy. If you’ve been following this pre-order guide to the letter, you’ll soon have enough steelbooks to erect your own impenetrable fortress. And hey, here’s another to fortify your cave of cases. The collector’s edition of Guerrilla’s hugely anticipated new IP comes with a nine-inch statue of heroine Aloy, courtesy of Gentle Giant. There’s also a 48-page Dark Horse artbook and a plethora of DLC including four resource packs (Carja Trader, Banuk Traveler, Nora Keeper and Nora Machine Trapper), two outfits (the Carja Storm Ranger and Banuk Trailblazer getups) and two weapons (the Carja Mighty Bow and the Banuk Culling Bow).
