Secret Warp Room 1: Snow Go (red gem)

You’ve already completed Snow Go, but that previously out-of-reach red gem is still waiting for you to collect it. Go through the level killing wildlife until you get to a sea lion with a couple of lives above it. Use the sea lion as a trampoline to reach the lives. Find the exclamation-mark crate, smash it, and backtrack to get an Aku Aku mask. Use the metal crates that form steps, kill more wildlife, and eventually you’ll blind drop. Jump off and you’ll pass through the red gem to collect it.

Secret Warp Room 2: Air Crash (white gem)

Go back to the skull-and-crossbones platform and start smashing crates. Just before getting onto the jetboard, slide-jump to the platform ahead and to the left. Slide-jump to a second platform, and then to a third larger one with four crates on.

Other than this, it’s straightforward. After jumping off the motorised surfboard, find the exit, and collect your white gem.

Secret Warp Room 3: Totally Bear (white gem)

Jumping ahead, this is another polar-bear-riding level accessed via the Secret Warp Room. It’s a simple level; just explore every nook and cranny to make sure you find everything.

Secret Warp Room 4: Totally Fly (crystal, white gem)

Another speed-run level where you need to keep pace with the firefly. Use slide-jump and jump-spin to keep your speed going. The hardest part is the last section in the level, where a group of robots are waiting for you – it’s best to avoid them rather than fight them, and enter the bonus stage. Get all of the crates to earn the gem.

Secret Warp Room 5: Road To Ruin (crystal, white gem)

This is the final level from the Secret Warp Room. A couple of jumps and you’ll reach a room full of crates, and one is a TNT crate so go in with spins. Continue on until you find the exclamation crate, activate it, and return to the start of the actual level. Follow our guide to Road To Ruin (p39) for the rest of the level.
