DESTINY 2 – WARMIND

Bungie’s new DLC promises a quick fix

-

Out as you clasp this new issue of OPM in your sticky fingers [ 8May,tobeexact – ed] the exciting Warmind DLC promises to deliver all-new content – including a special Raid lair, an original campaign, a new destination and rewards, Exotic and Legendary gear, and new Crucible maps. The new power cap in Warmind will jump to 380, and it’ll be a slower grind to get there.

Warmind will also coincide with the start of Season 3 and the launch of update 1.2.0. This patch will make all the previously released player-versusplayer Crucible maps free, which should help iron out some of the matchmaking problems that came from gating off previous added content. This gesture extends to the Curse Of Osiris DLC.

There is a small caveat: the new Private Matches mode releasing with Warmind is exempt, so you’ll need to have purchased the old DLC if you want to play every Crucible map privately with friends.

More new Season 3 refinements help paper over any Private Match shortfalls, and include a new multi-emote system, additional Exotic weapon masterworks, and Exotic weapon sandbox tweaks. There are also Heroic Strike modifiers, Nightfall challenge cards, and a much-needed vault space increase. Season 3 will also see a new seasonal event added. It seems like the third time’s the charm for Destiny 2.

ALL OF THE PREVIOUSLY RELEASED PLAYER-VERSUSPLAYER CRUCIBLE MAPS WILL NOW BE FREE.
