STAR CHILD
Things are gonna be easier…
If you fell in love with Moss’ cute diorama world and need more of the same, Playful Corp’s action-plaformer should fill that need handsomely. Mixing exploration, cinematic presentation, and tight platforming, this could well be the next breakout hit for PS VR.
The immaculate presentation is the first thing that grabs you. The glowing hum of the game’s alien landscape slowly gets under your skin. It’s a virtual reality you’ll want to explore, and save.
Playing as Spectra, and aided by her AI companion, you’re left stranded on this ghostly world. But soon events take over and Spectra is thrust into a mission to prevent a mysterious force from destroying everything in sight. The very virtual ground beneath your feet is under threat.
Like Moss, the joy of Star Child comes from being able to peer into the world. You can look around its caverns, down its corridors, and generally nose about. You’re actively encouraged to lean in, recce at arm’s length with Spectra or get physically into these alien spaces for yourself.
Spectra herself evolves as the story unfolds. She gains the ability to control the world around her, to use dormant machines against the evil threatening this virtual place. We can’t wait to jump back into her colourful world and help save it.
