LAST MONTH ON PS PLUS

-

Talk about going out with a bang. 2019 ends having seen the release of some massive titles… and some right stinkers. PS Plus hasn’t been exempt from this variation in quality either, as December’s lineup proves.

Between Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Respawn Entertainment has had a phenomenal year. It seems only fitting to end it by revisiting its underrated back catalogue courtesy of PS Plus. Titanfall 2 not only possesses a solid (though short) single-player campaign, its much-lauded multiplayer is still fairly active. You’ve got giant robots to pilot and pummel the opposition with, plus a wealth of overthe-top battle tactics to deploy. And the movement mechanics are brilliant (we love a good wall run chain). That said, as this one is so frequently in sales, chances are high you’ve already picked it up (good choice, by the way). That leaves you with… well… erm…

From our coverage alone, you can tell 2019 has been the year of Death Stranding. But you’ll recall that a strange spectre has followed Norman Reedus and his funky foetus throughout their journey – and we don’t mean the terrifying BTs. A bizarre, acidic ghost from our own youth, Monster Energy drink doesn’t just fuel Kojima Productions’ put-upon delivery man, it powers last month’s second, and lacklustre, PS Plus offering. Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame places you in the seat of a very different kind of mechanical noble steed, featuring official Supercross championship bikes. You can customise your bike and rider as well as tracks that you can share with the community or go head-to-head on with other players. But of all the beverages we could use to pour one out for the year ending, we didn’t think it’d be Monster.
