Dream a little Dream
Six Dreams that you can play right now
01 Pet Cafe
Pet Cafe, by Mezzyartiist, is a fun little rhythm game in which you feed scrounging cats and dogs by tossing croissants at them in time to their demanding yelps and yowls. Very simple, but it includes a tutorial, as well as a ‘comfort mode’, and just look at that wonderful art style.
02 Rabbit And Boy
Before Noguchi’s Bell – their Kickstarter-funded Dreams series – Cyber_Sheep_Film created the short film Rabbit And Boy. With the outstanding character models, environments, and animation on show, it’s easy to forget that this was made in Dreams and not a Hollywood animation studio.
03 Tiny Pier Simulator 1904
Tiny Pier Simulator 1904 does what it says on the proverbial tin, giving you your own pier thanks to creator urbandevill. Buy concession stands, rides, and more in order to make the pier of your Dreams. You’ll need to keep the area clean and your rides in good working order!
04 The Restless Dark
Scott A Ford’s VR dungeon crawler might be a work-in-progress, but it’s already won an Impy (Dreams’ own awards) for a reason – it’s straight up some of the most VR fun we’ve had on PlayStation. With gorgeous visuals and wonderfully wacky swordfighting, this is one to get lost in.
05 Night Talker – Thanks For The Memories
Night Talker – Thanks For The Memories is a music video, and well worth a watch. The fantastic song (Thanks For The Memories) is by the prolific cutaia_net, while the stunning visuals that accompany it (Night Talker) were created by occasional collaborator Tricobalt. We highly recommend checking out cutaia_net’s other music, too; it’s all professional, stunning stuff.
06 Red And The Cursed Isles
The latest in RedSeikatsu’s colourful platformer series feels like it could have been ripped straight out of PlayStation’s mascot platformer era. With great voice acting (it won an Impy for it, in fact), Red is filled with personality, with a great storybook flavour. The nautical theme in this one makes for some interesting platforming challenges, from tackling pirate ships to leaping precariously upstream.
