I am concerned that there appears to be a trend in gaming, which is moving away from local multiplayer games. Having two daughters who both like to play games, the option of local multiplayer is a key factor in my decision to purchase a game. I believe that game developers are missing a big market in not including this as an option. Not only does it avoid arguments, but it promotes gaming as a social activity, one that can involve the whole family. Chris Ainsworth via email

We love a good multiplayer, Chris. Tricky Towers, Overcooked, and Towerfall are all office faves. If your girls fancy a more collaborative game, Yooka-Laylee could be their thing (see p76).
