LOCOROCO
Show ’em how you roll in a timeless puzzle platformer
Did you own this one when it first released on PSP? Chances are, you only need read the words (word?) LocoRoco for your brain/mouth to immediately burst into one of its joyous nonsense songs. Completely unique, colourful and surprisingly complex, the platformer has you rolling blob-beings across varied puzzle-worlds by tilting the world with the shoulder buttons, splitting up and reforming their merry mass using e to clear each level’s obstacles.
It’s a genius, feel-good, ray of sunshine of a game that’s set to come into its own on PS4 via upgraded visuals, the addition of DualShock motion controls (that can be switched on and off on the fly) and the lovely touch of LocoRoco occasionally singing to you via the controller’s speaker. Awww.
