Block rocking repeats

Don’t write this off as another cutesy brick-bothering platformer, because TT is subtly rewriting its rulebook for this sequel to 2013’s superhero smash. Key to its goals is time manipulation, which we see during our hands-on. Stepping into the shoes of the Guardians Of The Galaxy, the team are tackling a giant robot Celestial, who’s been summoned here by new big bad Kang The Conqueror to attack Manhattan. It’s a huge fight, with enemies on the ground and Nova Prime fighters in the air. As one of the latter crashes, things get weird. Time goes backwards and the wreckage stays put, giving us a chance to rebuild it on the ground and use its blasters on the Celestial. Well, after we stop messing around with StarLord’s special ability to put headphones on and listen to music while blasting his guns. With an eclectic cast that digs deep into Marvel’s canon, an expanded character customiser, and the biggest hub world the team has ever attempted in the shape of Chronopolis, this will be a treat for Lego and comic fans alike.
