HIDDEN AGENDA
Run run run away, oh oh… Sofa killer Format PS4/PlayLink ETA 2017 Pub Sony Dev Supermassive Games
Ooh, nasty: a serial killer has been setting traps on his victims’ bodies, designed to kill the first cop who finds the corpse. It’s a neat premise. Better still, and like Supermassive Games’ PS4 debut Until Dawn, Hidden Agenda is a game of choices. The difference here is you’ll play with friends on the couch to decide who lives and who dies.
“It’s a game about trust,” explains Hidden Agenda’s senior producer Jez Harris. “It’s about the trust between the characters in the game and their relationships, but it’s also about the trust between you and your friends playing the game in your living room.”
Each player has unique information about the case, as well as motives for seeing different outcomes to scenes. Harnessing the new PlayLink system that enables you to use your mobile phone as a controller, you can make decisions that affect the game by accessing files, crime scene data and character profiles. Each player has access to different information and agendas, so who do you trust?
There’s nothing quite like Hidden Agenda, it’s a mix of puzzle solving, action, adventure and mobile skulduggery that sees you at odds with your co-op detectives as much as you are with the on-screen killer.
