Ian Dean’s still plugging away at PES The team groaned when I said I’d be dropping another tell-all PES story. Rightly so – after all, I am the West Brom of the game (my technique of passing the ball around the back four until my opponent falls asleep is Pulisian in its effectiveness). Defensive rock Blaise Matuidi entered my midfield, and as the little marvel trapped a rebounded corner some 40 yards from goal I had a moment of inspiration and walloped a thunderous shot in off the post. This is the pay-off for hours of grinding passes. These sporadic moments of algorithmic joy are why I keep playing.
