LIVE, DIE, REPEAT
Live, die, repeat in The Persistence
The Persistence keeps going.
After several hours spent surviving the corridors of The Persistence (a stranded spaceship plagued by undead crew members), one question haunts us: “Who do we trust?”
This PS VR shooter has us on edge. Do we have faith in the unreliable ship’s computer, which has tasked us with re-firing the vessel’s systems for its own purposes? Or should we trust our three friends who are sat couchside with us, guiding our actions on their tablets but whose motives are to earn XP for their own game as much as to help us survive?
Played solo The Persistence is a challenging, loot-heavy, dungeon crawler that demands you die and replay levels, using earned XP for upgrades. In co-op it’s a different beast, with players aiming to scupper one another and steal the points for themselves. The Persistence is nearing launch, expect an August release.
