JBL LIVE 650BTNC

Harman-owned audio equipment manufacturer, JBL, has released its most intelligent headphones yet – the new LIVE 400BT(A$149.95) and LIVE 650BTNC (A$249.95) with ‘Ambient Aware’, ‘TalkThru’, and Google Assistant/Amazon Alexa support.

Brand Activation Director JBL AUNZ at HARMAN, Marcus Fry, asserts the new LIVE series “will disrupt the headphones market”:

“With a massive line of different devices that carry the best features we have to offer, this new generation of headphones still maintain an affordable price point across the board.”

The new headphone line claims to fuse premium sound with smart features, with the LIVE 650BTNC pledging 30 hours battery life without active noise cancelling (ANC), and 20 hours with ANC.

The LIVE 400BT delivers 24 hours battery life, with 15 minutes of charge offering 2 hours of play time.

The headphones also feature ‘Ambient Aware’ and ‘TalkThru’ technology – the first allows users to minimise volume with a tap, preventing taking off headphones to talk; the second controls ambient noise levels.

Equipped with notable 40mm drivers, both headphones pledge enhanced bass and easy assess to Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa via a tap on the earcup. Audio can be further customised via JBL’s app.

Smart assistant integration allows users to play their favourite playlist, text a friend, check the weather and more without needing to glance at their phone.

With multi-point connection, users can also seamlessly switch from one Bluetooth device to another (e.g. tablet to mobile phone).

Both headphones come with a detachable remote and microphone, allowing users to continue listening or chat when the battery is flat.
